BAC March 2005 News & DigestHello Bicycle Access Council members,
The Third Annual Pennsylvania Bike Club Conference is scheduled for March 26 in York, PA. Many bike clubs have registered again to discuss "Best Practices" and networking with other club officers. Two outside speakers will add to the expertise of the agenda: Dave Bachman is the PennDOT Bicycle/Pedestrian Coordinator Dan McKay will discuss Bike Club Liability Insurance and RAGRBAI. The conference is open to individuals if you are thinking of starting a bike club or represent a small club not aware of the conference. There is a fee to attend. If you would like to attend, contact the Bicycle Access Council before the registration deadline, March 21. What's happening in Washington, DC? This week, March 16-18, the League of American Bicyclists is convening the National Bike Summit. Besides workshops and seminars, the League will coordinate meetings with Congress to make the case for saving Transportation Enhancements and other bicycle friendly legislation. Look for a summary of events on the League website:

It is the objective of the Bicycle Access Council to make bicycling on roads throughout the Commonwealth safe, respectable and a transportation choice by educating its members and the motoring public. All funding for Bicycle Access Council comes from memberships and donations. Annual membership is $20 per year and forms are available on the website. BAC does not share membership information.
